WESTMINSTER, Calif. (KNX) — Authorities are seeking the public’s help Friday to identify two suspects accused of stealing over $200,000 worth of jewelry from a Westminster mall retailer.
The suspects entered the Kay Jewelers store at the Westminster Mall shortly before 4 p.m. on Thursday. Surveillance footage showed them using a sledgehammer to smash glass cases before snatching jewelry and fleeing the scene in a sedan, according to Westminster police.
One suspect was described as wearing a green puffy jacket, black pants, an orange backpack, globes, and a face mask; the other was wearing a black Puma hoodie, black Adidas-style track pants, black gloves, and a face mask.


The getaway vehicle was a rental, according to Westminster police — gray Toyota Corolla with the Texas license plate MXR5851, believed to be a 2020 model.
