Astros, Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, and Former Players Apologize for Cheating Scandal

Astros
HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) - The Houston Astros organization, along with Alex Bregman and Jose Altuve, publicly apologized for the sign-stealing scandal that has been the leading storyline for all of the MLB offseason. In mid-January, Major League Baseball concluded their investigation and punished the Astros for illegally stealing signs during their 2017 World Series championship season, and as a result, Astros manager AJ Hinch and general manager Jeff Luhnow were fired.

"I am really sorry about the choices that were made by my team, by the organization and by me," said Bregman, who went on to say he hopes that the team can regain the trust of the fans.

Although Astros owner, Jim Crane, apologized for the cheating scandal in his January 13th press conference, until today, no current Astros players had apologized for the scandal. At the team's fan fest in late January, Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman did speak about the scandal but only made comments about moving on "as a team."
