A brush fire that erupted Wednesday on the north end of Good Hope scorched nearly two acres before it was stopped.
The non-injury "Forrest Fire" was reported at 4:20 p.m. in the area of Forrest Road and San Jacinto Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Multiple engine and hand crews were sent to the location and encountered flames burning at a moderate rate through medium vegetation in open space between Forrest and Old Road.
No homes or other structures were threatened.
Two Cal Fire air tankers and a water-dropping helicopter initiated runs on the brusher, halting its forward rate of spread about 5:20 p.m.
Crews were expected to achieve full containment by 6:30 p.m.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
