The hunter is now the hunted.

Chris Hansen, Dateline NBC reporter and former host of the controversial reality crime series “To Catch a Predator,” now has a warrant out for his own arrest after skipping a court date in Michigan.

Hansen addressed the warrant in a post on Instagram on Thursday.

"The court matter in Shiawasse Co, Mi today resulted from a predator investigation there. Defense lawyers for accused predator Michael Lott had requested video from the investigation. There was miscommunication about a hearing today on the issue. The matter is currently being resolved!" Hansen captioned the post.

The case involves an October sting operation, similar to a “To Catch a Predator” situation, which local authorities asked Hansen to assist in. Despite “To Catch a Predator” being cancelled in ignominious fashion back in 2008, Hansen has remained committed to the sex trafficing cause.

As USA Today reports, via local news station WLNS, the TV personality was subpoenaed to be in court Thursday in Shiawassee County, but failed to return discovery materials related to the sex trafficking case.

Shiawassee County Prosecuting Attorney, Scott Koerner, confirmed that a bench warrant has been issued.
