One person’s vow renewal ceremony is another’s circus.

That seems to be the story with exes Heidi Klum and Seal.

In a recent interview with the Sunday Times, Klum said that during their time together, Klum set up a vow renewal ceremony every year in an attempt to keep the romantic fires burning.

“I think I got married eight times to Seal. I thought it would be kind of, like, fun,” said Klum. “I thought it would be a fest of love. But you know, that doesn’t work either. I tried, you can’t say I didn’t try!”

Among whatever other troubles caused the gorgeous duo to part, we know for sure the vow renewals might’ve been up there on Seal’s list.

As he told Andy Cohen in a 2015 interview, “That was my ex-wife’s idea, to be honest.“

And after awhile, even Klum admits she lost the point of the ceremonies, as they became more fodder for the press than fuel for their marriage.

"Like, ‘This is really not working,’” she admitted. “But I tried."

Seal, for one, definitely did not ascribe to the “try, try again” maxim.

"It kind of turned into a little bit of a circus, which I wasn’t terribly fond of because, by default, I’m quite a private person," he said.

And while the two still work at raising their three children, and a fourth Klum had with Flavio Briatore, circuses still happen.

As reported by Yahoo Entertainment, last year, Klum accused Seal of barring her from taking the four kids abroad to film “Germany's Next Top Model.” They later reached an agreement on that dispute.

Klum seems to be taking a good attitude towards the sometimes awkward co-parenting situation.

“It could be easier sometimes, but everyone is healthy and that’s the most important thing," she told the Sunday Times. "Everything else can be figured out.”

Apparently in previous relationships, Klum thought she had to do all the work. And a thing she loves about her latest love, third husband, Tom Kaulitz (from Germana rock band, Tokio Hotel), is that he takes the reins on planning.

“Before I always had to make all the decisions, do all the planning for everyone… I didn’t know that it could be like this. I’m just finding all these things out.”

Klum previously joked that perhaps Kaulitz, 31, is drinking from the fountain of youth.

"My 40s have been good,” said Klum. “My 50s are going to be even better. I need to keep sucking my husband’s blood!”
