One witness told the CHP a red sedan was being driven recklessly before the crash. Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally injured person.

A SigAlert was issued for all northbound lanes, with traffic diverted off at Jamboree Road with the far-right lane reopened at 3:53 a.m. The Jamboree Road on-ramp was also shut down.

About 10 feet of concrete barrier was damaged, the CHP said. All lanes were reopened about 7:30 a.m., the CHP reported. The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
