Police on Friday are investigating a collision in Anaheim that killed one person and injured another after the driver struck a light pole during a police pursuit.

Anaheim Police Department officers began pursuing the Ford Ranger on the Artesia (91) Freeway when the suspect turned off the freeway at 1219 N. State College Road around 12:15 a.m., Sgt. Matt Sutter told City News Service.
The truck slammed into a pole during the pursuit and firefighters were called to the scene, where they pronounced the victim dead.
The victim was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition. The names, genders and ages of the victims were not immediately known.
