One person was killed and a second injured Monday in a two-vehicle collision in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The crash was reported at 8:50 a.m. at 458 W. Florence Ave., according to Lyndsey Lantz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and fire department crews worked to free his body from the wreckage before medical examiner's personnel arrived, Lantz said.
One other person was in fair condition when taken to a hospital, Lantz said.
