Beverly Hills police confirm for KNX 1070 News that one person has been shot during a robbery attempt at Il Pastaio restaurant.
The restaurant is at Brighton Way and North Canon Drive in Beverly Hills. Police also say one person has been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It happened just after 2 pm Thursday afternoon. Three suspects approached a victim and allegedly robbed him of a high-end watch. The victim told Margaret Carrero that he wrestled the gun away from one suspect and it went off and hit another woman in the calf. She is expected to be OK.
Detectives are now scouring all of the surveillance video in the area.
