Two homes in the San Fenrado Valley were targeted by burglars, with one of the homeowners shooting at the suspects.
The first incident happened around 11 p.m. at a home in Studio City. The homeowner was jolted by a burglar alarm, grabbed a gun, and fired some shots at the burglar, who jumped in a car with an accomplice and took off.
Kelly, who lives in the area, told KNX News’ Jon Baird this wasn’t the first time the house was targeted.
“They were hit before, maybe six months ago, and they came in and it was very specific,” she said. “They shattered the back door, grabbed all of her purses. Purses were all over the street and jewelry and they were in, out, and gone.”

The second incident happened around 2:20 a.m. in the 4000 block of Longridge Ave. in Sherman Oaks. No one was home at the time. It’s unclear if anything was taken from the residence.
This comes days after Los Angeles officials, including Mayor Karen Bass, met with residents in Encino to discuss break-ins in the area.
