LOS ANGELES (KNX) — A person attempted to jump onto an L.A. Metro Red Line train in Hollywood Wednesday night, injuring himself and another person in the process, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The jumper, whose identity has not been verified, leapt onto the train from the platform at the Hollywood and Vine station and “went through the window into the cab of the train” shortly before 7 p.m., the LAFD said in an alert.

Both parties were transported to local hospitals for treatment, with the jumper reported to be in critical condition and the passenger suffering from “minor, non-life-threatening injuries,” according to the LAFD.
