Two men were hurt when their car fell from the Riverside Drive overpass onto the Ventura (134) Freeway near Griffith Park and burst into flames, authorities said Monday.
The crash was reported just before 11 p.m. Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department's Brian Humphrey.
The car had fallen from the overpass, struck the concrete freeway divider and burst into flames, Humphrey said.
A 65-year-old man and a 60-year-old man managed to get out of the sedan and were taken to a regional trauma center by ambulance, he said.
Firefighters remained at the scene an extended time putting out the stubborn flames, Humphrey said.
