Two people are dead and six people were injured after a shooting overnight in downtown Los Angeles.
Capt. Letisia Ruiz with the Los Angeles Police Department said it happened after a party in a warehouse at 14th Place and Paloma Street around 1 a.m. after police responded to the scene about two hours earlier.
“The officers did shut down that that party and locked the location, and when officers cleared the scene shortly after, there was a radio call that was generated for shots fired,” she said.
A man died at the scene. A woman took herself to the hospital where she later died, accoridng to City News Service.
Two of the six people who who where injured - 34-year-old man and a 37-year-old man - are reportedly in critical condition, Fox 11 reported.

The event had been promoted on social media as an "after-party" for the Hard Summer music festival in Inglewood.
Investigators have not revealed a description of the suspect.
