Two people were killed Monday in a multi- vehicle crash in the Lake Los Angeles area southeast of Lancaster.

Paramedics were sent to East Palmdale Boulevard and 152nd Street East about 11:40 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Two people died at the scene, the county fire department reported. Information was not immediately available on their identities. At least two other people were treated at the scene for unspecified injuries.
Traffic was routed away from the area while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol. Utility crews were sent to the scene to repair a power pole that was damaged, the CHP reported.
