2 L.A. area shootings connected, detectives say; suspect in custody

A man was taken into custody Tuesday night in connection to two separate shootings in Los Angeles.

The man walked into the Los Angeles Police Department station around 10:24 p.m. and told police that a woman was dead in Koreatown, an LAPD spokesperson told City News Service.


KCAL News reported that the man also confessed to another shooting.

The woman was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds inside a car in the 800 block of South Berendo St., according to Fox 11 News.

A detective told KNX News’ Jon Baird that the woman and the suspect had some sort of a relationship.

The second shooting was reported in in the Mid-Wilshire area on W Olympic Blvd. and South Victoria Ave around 4:20 p.m. Fox 11 reported that a man on an e-bike was hit by a driver. The driver got out of the car and shot the e-bike rider before taking off.

The suspect’s name has not been revealed at this time.
