LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Two men were charged in connection to a fight that occurred outside Dodger Stadium after the Elton John concert in November
Reece Hopkins, 38, and Chad Reeves, 42, were charged with one felony count of battery with serious bodily injury. Hopkins was also charged with one felony count of vandalism or destruction of property.
According to Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón, on Nov. 17, a woman and a man got into an argument at the stadium parking lot and Hopkins and Reeves allegedly got involved and assaulted the man.
Another man who recorded the incident on his phone reportedly followed Hopkins and Reeves and Hopkins allegedly grabbed the phone and threw it on the ground.
“What started out as a night of entertainment and revelry ended in violence. Verbal disagreements should never take such a dangerous turn,” District Attorney Gascón said. “I want to thank the LAPD for their thorough investigation and our prosecutors who meticulously reviewed the case to determine what charges should be filed. We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to ensure that our entertainment venues are safe for all.”
The men are expected to be arraigned May 15.
