Two men were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being shot while standing near a driveway in Long Beach, authorities said Tuesday.

Officers responded around 8:20 p.m. Monday to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of East Plymouth Street and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Police said one victim was shot in the upper body and the other in the lower body. Both were taken to a hospital by paramedics.
The victims had been standing near a driveway when a suspect approached and opened fire, according to police. The gunman fled the scene on foot before officers arrived.
The motive for the shooting was under investigation, and no suspect description was immediately available.
