
Two Los Angeles Unified School District high school students were found to be carrying guns on campus this week.
The Los Angeles Times reports that both of this week’s incidents happened in South L.A. The first was on Monday when an unloaded semi-automatic pistol and a 21-round clip were discovered during a search of a student’s backpack at George Washington Preparatory High School.

On Tuesday, an unloaded semi-automatic pistol was found in the backpack of a ninth-grade boy at John C. Fremont High School.
Both students were arrested on gun charges.
This brings the total number of firearms found at LAUSD schools to four since the academic year started on Aug. 12.
