Sheriff's homicide detectives Wednesday are continuing their investigation of the death of a 2-year-old child found unresponsive in Palmdale.
Deputies from the Palmdale Sheriff's Station were called at around 5:07 p.m. Tuesday to the 800 block of East Avenue P-15, near Eighth Street East, regarding a rescue call. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered an unresponsive 2-year-old, said homicide Lt. Arturo Spencer.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene and performed life-saving measures. The child was subsequently taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.
Fox 11 reported at least one adult at the residence was detained.
