A magnitude 3.8 earthquake struck near Malibu on Friday afternoon.

The quake hit at 2:15 p.m. and was centered just a few miles northwest of Malibu and south of Thousand Oaks, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It was initially reported as a magnitude 3.5.
There were no reports of injury or damage, and the watch commander at the L.A. County Sheriff's Department's Malibu/Lost Hills station said the quake was "barely felt."
