Deputies from the Partners Against Crime team served a search warrant early Thursday in the 4100 block of La Jolla Drive, south of East Avenue S, according to an LASD post on Facebook. The warrant was the result of an investigation into "hate crime vandalism" allegedly committed in February.

The suspects were accused of retaliating against civilians who confronted them about graffiti, sheriff's officials said. The hate crime charges resulted from additional vandalism "which left a family shaken."

Two suspects were arrested during the service of the search warrant in which evidence was recovered, officials said. A third suspect was arrested for alleged narcotics and firearms violations.
