Two men and a woman were found shot to death in a remote area of the Antelope Valley on Sunday.
Los Angeles County homicide detectives responded to a report of shots fired in an unincorporated area of Lake Los Angeles, east of Palmdale just before 5 p.m.
“When they arrived at 215th and East Avenue Q, they came upon a white vehicle with a female suffering from gunshot wounds,” Lt. Steve DeJong told KNX News’ Emily Valdez. “They immediately began to render her aid when a person in the desert informed them that they should check on a second vehicle that was further down the road.”
That’s when additional deputies found two men who were also shot to death in a burgundy SUV.
All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The two men appeared to be in their 40s and the woman in the white car is about 65 years old.

Lt. DeJong said detectives believe the victims were targeted.
“It appears that the vehicles were traveling on the road when they were approached by a suspect,” he said. “They stopped and then the shooting occurred. “
Anyone with any information was urged to call the L.A. County Sheriff's Homicide Unit.
