According to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton, firefighters responded to the 1300 block of West 46th Street around 4:35 p.m. and found a vehicle that had trapped Rodriguez against a building.
"Sadly, the trapped patient was declared deceased on scene by firefighters. The condition of the vehicle's driver is unknown at this time," Middleton said in a statement.
It was unclear what led to the collision.
City building officials were called to the scene to assess the integrity of the structure.
