
LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Five people were injured, three critically, in a three-vehicle collision Friday in the Westlake area.

Of the three patients who were critically injured, two were children, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The crash occurred about 2;45 p.m. in the 100 block of North Alvarado Street, fire officials said. It was not immediately clear what led to the crash.
The three critically injured patients were taken to hospitals. One other patient declined to be taken for hospital treatment, and the fifth left the scene, according to the fire department.
No further details were immediately available.
