Their daughter’s name was Sterling Sol.

“There are no words to describe the pain we’re going through but we hold her in our hearts and cherish every second we had with her,” the post read.

The Vesia family thanked the Dodgers, the Blue Jays, and the fans for their support, as well as Cedars Sinai and its medical staff.

“Every person we came across was truly so incredible,” the post concluded.

On October 23, the Dodgers posted on their Instagram page that Vesia would be away from the team due to a “deeply personal family matter.”
