In Altadena, a town in California that was ravaged earlier this year by the Eaton Fire, there is a unique art piece. KNX News’ Nataly Tavidian visited it this weekend.

Located in the parking lot of Altadena Wine and Spirits, the wall-sized plywood construction displays a map that conveys the destruction caused by the fire in this community. Artist Noel McCarthy hopes the work will bring healing and visibility to the people who lived through the ordeal.
Already, it has become a hub for storytelling, empathy, and healing. McCarthy wants to convey the trauma in a tangible way and convey how the trauma of the fire lingers, even though the flames have been put out.
