The California Highway Patrol activated an Amber Alert Thursday morning for two boys who officials say were abducted by their biological mother.

Officials said Jaden Hernandez, 10, and Dereck Rodiguez, 2, were last seen near Vigil Avenue at 1:30 a.m. The boys left their foster parents' apartment, according to City News Service.
Jackeline Hernandez-Torres, the boys’ mother, is believed to be driving a black 2008 PT Cruiser with an Indiana license plate that reads DFT105.

Dereck has red hair and brown eyes and is wearing a dark t-shirt and dark pants, while Jaden has black hair, brown eyes, and is wearing a black shirt and black pants. Jackeline has black hair, brown eyes, and is wearing a light-colored shirt and dark sweatpants.
