‘Armed and dangerous’ suspect wanted in Palmdale murder still outstanding: sheriff

PALMDALE, Calif. (KNX) — Authorities warned the public Tuesday about an “armed and dangerous” murder suspect still on the loose following a deadly January shooting in Palmdale.

On the morning of Jan. 21, Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said 34-year-old Frank Fuentes was shot and killed in the 4100 block of East Avenue Q-14.

The suspect in Fuentes’ murder was identified as 35-year-old Rudy Rodriguez Jr., according to Deputy Tracy Koerner.

Rodriguez should be considered armed and dangerous, Koerner added. A motive for the shooting was not immediately available.

Rodriguez is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Authorities said he recently shaved his head bald and shaved off his beard.
