Deputies contacted the department's Special Enforcement Bureau unit, which with the sheriff's Crisis Negotiation Team and Mental Evaluation Team arrived to negotiate a possible surrender with the suspect.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department's Palmdale Station responded at 2:30 a.m. to the 36400 block of 103rd Street East where they learned the suspect accused of assault with a deadly weapon had barricaded himself, the sheriff's department said.
Around 7:30 a.m., SED stated the operation in Antelope Valley had concluded and the suspect was in custody.
