A man was arrested in Hollywood Wednesday morning after police said he had a gun on him while onboard a city bus.
The SWAT team responded to Western and Melrose Avenues around 4:40 a.m. The man was arrested around 6:30 a.m.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the man "was found sleeping on an MTA bus with a firearm at his feet.”
Police said the Quadruped Unmanned Ground Vehicle to help in the standoff.
“The Quadruped vehicle that you’ve seen before…did board the bus to help us get a better visual and see what was going on, “ LAPD Commander Steve Lurie said. “That’s the only action that it took and the suspect surrendered.”
No injuries were reported.
