KNX News' Pete Demetriou reports that the resident pulled out a semi-automatic hand gun and shot at the suspects, hitting one.

According to an LAPD spokesperson, the injured suspect was struck while inside the home, losing a considerable amount of blood. Paramedics took the suspect to the hospital with two gunshot wounds.

The department said at least one other suspect managed to get away, and is still at large.

Officers, including representatives from the METRO and K-9 divisions, have set up a perimeter for a search expected to take multiple hours, given the number of backyards in the area for the suspect to hide in.
