
The inmate who escaped from a jail in Rancho Cucamonga over the weekend has been found and placed back into custody, officials said Monday.

Deshaun Stamps, 29, was captured by LAPD officers who planned to transfer him to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
Stamps, who had been in custody since January 2023 for attempted murder, escaped Sunday afternoon during an outside recreation period, according to the County Sheriff’s Department, but how he got away is still unclear.
The sheriff's department said, "We extend our thanks to the Los Angeles Police Department and the public for their assistance in locating Deshaun Stamps."
