The attorney representing Halyna Hutchin’s family says they’re upset over Alec Baldwin’s new reality show.
Hutchins was killed in 2021 on the set of the movie ‘Rust’ when Baldwin was rehearsing a scene with a prop gun, which had a live round in it instead of a blank. The gun was discharged and the bullet hit and killed Hutchins.
Baldwin, who had criminal charges against him dropped in 2024, stars in a reality TV show with his wife, Hilaria, and their children. The shooting was addressed in the show.
Gloria Allred, the attorney representing Halyna’s mother, father, and sister, told KNX News’ Emily Valdez that Baldwin has never taken responsibility for Halyna‘s death.
“Instead, he entered into money-making with TLC, where his wife, on the first broadcast of the show's series, states, ‘Halyna lost her life in the most unthinkable tragedy. A son lost his mom. We're going to feel and carry this pain forever. This will be part of our family's story,’” Allred said.

Allred went on to say Baldwin “does not acknowledge the need to be accountable” for Hutchins’ death.
“Halyna’s parents' pain is magnified by the fact that Mr. Baldwin and his reality show treat Halyna’s parents as though they're invisible,” she said.
Baldwin has been ordered to testify about the shooting for a civil case deposition in Allred’s New York office on May 9th.
Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the armorer on the set of the movie, was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
