
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped 1.5 cents Friday to $5.092.
The average price has dropped 18 consecutive days and 27 of the past 28, decreasing 27.5 cents over the past 28 days, including 1.8 cents Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped nine consecutive days, was unchanged May 6 and resumed dropping the following day.
The average price is 10.1 cents less than one week ago and 27.9 cents less than one month ago, but 22.7 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.397 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 28th time in 29 days, decreasing 1.5 cents to $5.005, a day after it dropped 2.2 cents. It has dropped 29.2 cents over the past 29 days.
The Orange County average price is 10 cents less than one week ago and 29 cents less than one month ago, but 17.1 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.454 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped six-tenths of a cent to $3.609, a day after it increased four-tenths of a cent. It is 1.2 cents more than one week ago, 5.1 cents lower than one month ago, and 4.8 cents more than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.407 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
