Authorities Monday identified a bicyclist who was killed in a crash near the entrance of Universal Studios over the weekend.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 12:47 a.m. Sunday to 3799 Lankershim Blvd., said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

According to the preliminary investigation, Tessier apparently was riding at a high rate of speed when the bicycle hit a curb and crashed, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
