The Ojai Raptor Center provided some disheartening news about Jackie, the Big Bear bald eagle who has been under round-the-clock care since her rescue in mid-July.
Officials say the update on her condition is not positive. She’s receiving oxygen therapy, but her blood values have declined again. She has already been diagnosed with severe anemia and kidney inflammation.
The center says it is consulting with other specialists across the country as they try to determine the next steps in her care.
