The reopening is tomorrow, but business owners are still trying to figure out how to navigate in the new normal.
LA County's latest health office order was posted just a few hours before it's due to take effect.
State workplace safety regulators won't be voting on the latest proposed rules until Thursday, including allowing fully vaccinated workers to go mask-free.
The changes were expected to take effect on June 28, but Gov. Gavin Newsom now says he'll issue an executive order so that they're implemented as soon as the board votes.
"Business owners of every shape and size are very excited to reopen and to get back at business but most importantly they are highly concerned because they do not know the rules of the road," says Tracy Hernandez, the CEO of the LA County Business Federation, or BizFed. "The alarm bells are ringing. It's very disconcerting to everyone."
Suzanne Tracht, who is the chef and owner of Jar restaurant on Beverly, is taking the uncertainty in stride.
She says, "We just kind of have to roll with the flow right now. That's how the world is right now and I think it's going to be like that for the next year," she says.
The County's Department of Public Health is holding a telebriefing for restaurants and bar owners on Wednesday.
