A person was found dead Thursday at the bottom of the Point Fermin Cliffs in the San Pedro area, and an investigation was underway.
The body was discovered about 7:45 a.m. near the 3700 block of South Roxbury Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Information was not immediately available on the person's identity or cause of death.
