A body was found Thursday inside a parked van in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles, and an investigation was underway.
KNX News' Pete Demetriou reports from the scene:
The body was discovered about 10:25 a.m. Thursday near the 2400 block of Redondo Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
It was unclear if there was anything suspicious about the death, however early reports from the scene indicated the body was wrapped in a tarp, and the U-Haul had been reported as stolen.
Lieutenant Robert Peters said, "We can't do anything until the medical examiner's office gets here."

While detectives were not able to do anything with the body immediately, Peters said they are working with U-Haul officials to determine how the van was stolen in the first place.
The indications are it may have been stolen as long as a month ago.
Information was not immediately available on the person's identity or cause of death.
