A telephone threat of explosives at a Burbank high school prompted an extensive police search of the campus Friday, but no explosives were found and an investigation was continuing.
Officers responded to Providence High School at 511 S. Buena Vista Street around noon after the Burbank Police Communications Center received a call from a person claiming to have placed explosives on the campus, the Burbank P.D. said in a statement.

Investigators searched the entire campus and "no evidence of explosives" was found, the department said.

No injuries were reported, and there was "minimal disruption to classroom instruction" according to police.
