Dominic Abat, owner of Loop Espresso Club, which operates inside the former home of Pub 1954, said his business was relatively lucky.
"We didn't lose anything here," said Abat... "We don't carry cash on site, so they didn't take any cash draws or anything. They did look and shuffle around our belongings, but luckily for us, they didn't take anything."

Alan Moore, a partner in Cheebo right next door wasn't as fortunate. He said they had broken glass, a broken point of sale system, "A complete mess."
Between repairs and the inability to restock goods for operations, financial losses are in the thousands.
Council member Kevin de León, whose office is right across the street from those restaurants, is responding to this and other break-ins in the area by allocating $100,000 in discretionary funds for increased police patrols.
While they wait to see if increased police presence pays off, both local business owners say they are thankful to the community for helping them through a trying time.
