A Cypress College professor, who was seen on Zoom interrupting a student who was calling police officers heroes, has now taken a leave of absence.
The school says in a statement "any efforts to suppress free and respectful expression on our campus will not be tolerated."
The student was making a presentation last week on the term "cancel culture" when the professor interrupted.
That student told the Southern California News Group he doesn't want the professor fired.
He says she's "a little rude" and has a habit of cutting students off in class but did so to those expressing both liberal and conservative views.
