The science center says "The Blue Angels" is free from Monday through Sunday at its IMAX theater as a way to provide a safe and welcoming space for comfort.
The documentary gives the audience an inside look into what it's like in the cockpit of a Blue Angels jet during a show.
Director Paul Crowder described the documentary to KNX News as positive and inspirational.

“They have smiles on their faces all the time. That was the most incredible thing about walking the halls of the hangar,” he said. “I'd walk down the halls [and] everyone's got a smile on their face. Even to us, the film crew - we're just in there to wreck their routine. You know, they have a very fixed routine every day, and suddenly there's these massive cameras and all these people in the hallways that are never usually there. They're smiling at you, giving you first name high fives. They smile at each other, high-five each other like 5 minutes after seeing them.”
In addition to “The Blue Angels,” screenings of all other movies showing at the Science Center's IMAX Theater will also be free.
While shows on Saturday and Sunday are sold out, there are still seats available for screenings during the week.
Advance reservations can be made on the Science Center's website.
