
Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Monday that the fire that destroyed part of the I-10 Freeway on Saturday was found to be an arson. KNX News has exclusively learned that this conclusion was based partly on footage from cameras in the area.

The cameras picked up activity before the fire, but no identifiable faces, sources say. That, along with witness interviews, helped investigators come to an early conclusion that the fire was set intentionally.
CalFire detectives are still working to identify a suspect. Anyone with information was urged to call 800-468-4408.
