A young cat burned in the Eaton Fire has recovered and is ready for his new forever home.

Whiskers is a three-year-old gray cat who was found in the burn scar area of the Eaton Fire.

Marcela Ramos with the Best Friends Animal Society told KNX News’ Emily Valdez that he came in pretty rough shape.

“His little paw hats were pretty burnt, and his little whiskers were also singed, as well as other parts of his body,” she said.

Ramos said Whiskers recovered very well after about three days.

“He was healing so well that he went to a foster home so he could have a nice, quiet, calm, and loving environment to finish up his healing in,” she said.

Wiskers is up for adoption at the Best Friends Animal Society's West L.A. shelter. Raos said that those who want to adopt him should know he loves head scratches and being around people but that he’s not the biggest fan of loud noises and chaotic environments.
