The California Highway Patrol said it’s investigating an incident where people saw an officer riding in a patrol car that was being towed on a flatbed truck in Riverside County.
It happened on the westbound 60 Freeway on March 1.

In a statement to KTLA, the CHP said the car had a transmission failure and needed a tow.
They say they're reviewing what happened, and they're committed to professionalism and accountability.
