"The COVID-19 rates surge and fall, and our public safety responses must move appropriately with it," Mayor Paul Grisanti said. "The temporary closure of City Hall to visitors is meant to help slow the spread of COVID-19, protect the community, especially seniors and other high-risk people, and to allow city staff to safely continue to provide essential city services."
City staffers will continue to work in-office and offer regular services. Residents may contact departments by phone or email. City Council and commission meetings will continue virtually.
Malibu's city manager and public safety manager will monitor the situation daily and plan to reopen City Hall early if countywide COVID-19 conditions improve.
