LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Temperatures are expected to drop across the Southern California beginning Thursday as a pair of weather systems bear down on the region.
The first of the two is forecasted to arrive Thursday, with cold and wet conditions expected to last through Saturday. Temperatures are expected to drop eight to twelve degrees Thursday, and another five to ten degrees on Friday.
"Clouds will be on the increase on Thursday and there will be a massive cool down," the National Weather Service said Wednesday. "Rain is likely Thursday night and Friday morning, along with mountain snow and a slight chance of thunderstorms."
The second of the two weather systems will move in on Saturday and continue through the evening, sustaining cold temperatures and showers.
Forecasters expect a slight chance of thunderstorms, with five to ten inches of snow possible at higher elevations.
The National Weather Service said conditions should return to normal Sunday, with clearer skies and warmer temperatures expected by Monday.
