Chris Kilpatrick, a Crescenta Valley council member, has resigned after he was accused of urinating on the door of an LGBTQ bar in Los Angeles.

Kilpatrick was allegedly caught on camera with another man as they urinated on the employee entrance of Precinct. The bar’s manager said he was assaulted and thrown to the ground by Kilpatrick as a result.

The council’s president Harry Leon spoke to KCAL News about Kilpatrick’s behavior.

“We appreciate the four years that he, you know, gave to this community. But unfortunately, the conduct that wasn't acceptable to all of us and also my community does not deserve it,” he said.

Kilpatrick was drinking at the bar before the alleged incident happened.

“I think we all have a few cocktails and stuff, but I think being a responsible adult, you have to remain in control,” a local told KCAL News.

Kilpatrick couldn’t be reached for comment, but his lawyer said that facts are still being gathered.
