Fire crews are working to put out a fire at a recycling yard in El Monte.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, firefighters responded to the 2200 block of N. Tyler Ave. around 2:30 p.m.
As of 3:11 p.m., the fire was deemed a third-alarm fire.
Around 3:40 p.m., residents in South El Monte were urged to shelter in place.
